PHOTO 50 -- Flight C-6 : June 23, 1973

Silhouetted against a twilight sky, the rocket climbs upon a diminishing trail of smoke...
A partially-loaded B-200 motor boosted this rocket to an altitude exceeding 1500 feet (450 metres). At the peak, a faint but increasingly familiar "pop" sound signalled the deployment of the parachute. Although equipped with both a pilot chute and a three-foot diameter main chute, the rocket descended only with the pilot chute deployed -- the main chute was snagged within the fuselage. Damage was little more than a couple of bent fins, however.
