PHOTO 20 -- Flight C-16, Sept. 1979
PHOTO 20Flight C-16 was another fully successful mission, rocket attained an altitude close to 2600 feet (800 metres). In this photo, the rocket is faintly visible one-third from the top edge.
Moderate winds carried the descending rocket with its recovery parachute nearly a mile away (1.6 km.), landing in a wooded area. Despite carefully tracking of the touchdown site, it took nearly a day of searching before the rocket was found.
