PHOTO 14 -- Flight C-23 Sept. 1981
PHOTO 14Liftoff of Flight C-23. This photo demonstrates why all my later rockets were painted fluorescent orange. Visibility is greatly enhanced, particulary when the sky is overcast, or late in the day.
This flight, powered by the B-200 motor (my standard motor), rose to an altitude of about 1500 feet (450 metres). The rocket was recovered by parachute, landing 832 feet (254 metres) downwind. Total flight time was 84 seconds.
